What is the ONE book you’d recommend to anyone?
My friend asked me that question.
My answer? Easy.
The Almanack of Naval Ravikant: A Guide to Wealth and Happiness
Why?
It tells you how to think for yourself.
You discover something new each time you reread it.
And it’s free.
Below are some personal takeaways I handwrote:
Library as an after-school center. Partner with your child to make the library fun.
Bullish on crypto. Specifically BTC and ETH.
Wealth is having assets that earn while you sleep.
Financial freedom = equity ownership + live below your means.
Learn to sell AND build. Code and media are permissionless leverage and scale.
Elad Gil is Naval's preferred Angel investor partner.
Managing capital > managing people (messy).
Retirement is when you stop sacrificing today for an imaginary tomorrow.
Identify the companies/founders who just hit product/market fit.
Trying to build business relationships in advance of doing business together is a waste of time. Bring the value first.
Clarity > smart. Be able to explain things to a 5 year old.
If you cannot decide, the answer is no.
Teaching / mentoring is one of the best ways for continued learning.
